Physical therapy for animals can have analgesic, supportive or rehabilitative effects. 

Different techniques and technique combinations are possible. That is why I can treat the individual animal and individual symptoms specifically. 

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a specialized treatment approach. It consists of hands-on techniques, mainly massage and joint mobilization. However, it can involve other techniques designed to mobilize joints, activate muscles, and connective tissues, and stimulate nerves to promote healing and restore optimal function.

Therapeutic Exercise

Movement is an essential part of living organisms. Exercise can bring great benefits to the patient in need. It can help to increase range of motion, stability, endurance, and strength. Therapeutic exercise can also improve balance, motor control, proprioception, and flexibility. It can be applied in order to reduce pain, normalize muscle tone, promote functional independence, and to improve weight bearing tolerance.

Electrophysical Modalities

Various electrophysical modalities can be successfully used in a therapy plan. Some of these treatment methods include laser therapy electrotherapy, thermotherapy, electromagnetic fields, and sound wave therapy.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology Taping can be a good addition to a therapeutic plan. Kinesio Tape can be used for rehabilitation in cases such as Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease, Luxating Patella as well as after arthroscopies, soft tissue surgeries, and tendon disorders.  

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be defined as the insertion of thin needles into specific points of the body to produce a healing response. Each acupuncture point has specific reactions when stimulated. This technique has been used in veterinary practice in China for thousands of years. 

Clinical research has been conducted showing positive results in the treatment of both animals and humans, and the use of acupuncture is increasing.
